The department




The IT Support Engineers provide technical support and administration for all internal end-user software, hardware, and connectivity.


The wider IT department supports and develops the IT infrastructure of the firm. There are ten members within the team who cover front office development, systems development and systems support. The team is responsible for all the IT that you see, and don't see.

Role responsibilities




Responsibilities and tasks include, but are not limited to:




Provide front line user support for all Peel Hunt's internal, and third party tools, and technologies

Answer support queries via telephone, email, and in person, taking ownership of problems and following them through to resolution

Identify, diagnose, research, track, and resolve technical issues within current product offerings while also investing in next generation of products and services

Contribute to a team of high-performing technologists that is focused on developing and improving user experience

Job requirements






Exceptional communication skills

Excellent problem-solving methodology and analytical approach

Ability to work under pressure and complete tasks to set deadlines

Ability to proactively pick up BAU tasks and resolve based on urgency

Ability to learn quickly and apply knowledge

Ability to pick up on trends to identify wide-spread issues

Willingness to work as part of a team to deliver projects and change within the firm

Takes ownership of tasks and sees them through to completion

Experience working with Microsoft administrative tools, such as Active Directory, Group Policy and SCCM

Strong understanding of Microsoft Windows operating systems and productivity software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Windows)

Strong understanding of Microsoft Windows operating systems and productivity software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Windows)

Understanding of Audio Visual Systems

* (Desirable) Knowledge of finance applications such as Bloomberg & Eikon
