Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic IT Support Engineer to join the IT team at Stan Robinson to assist with all aspects of IT support and projects.

Hours of work - 9am - 5.30pm (with a degree of flexibility to suit the ideal candidate)

As part of the IT Team, you will be responsible for the resolution of issues raised by users and becoming an expert in all the systems we support on a day-to-day basis. You will manage and maintain the IT network at Stan Robinson, handle day-to-day endpoint queries, builds, and complete project work to upgrade and improve our internal services and processes.

A flexible approach is essential, as is the need to be self-motivated with the ability to work under pressure and prioritise tasks / objectives. Displaying strong problem-solving skills and the ability to take ownership of IT support and deliver excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities will include:

Provide first and second-line IT support across the business. Administer user accounts, permissions, patching, backups, and monitoring. Deploy, configure, and maintain hardware and software across the organisation. Monitor system alerts and performance issues, resolving them promptly. Maintain IT documentation, asset registers, and knowledge base articles. Contribute to IT projects, including rollouts, upgrades, and implementation of new tools. Support and manage LAN, workstations, servers, handheld and VOIP systems. Ensure IT security standards, compliance and legislation is upheld. Liaise with external suppliers on case escalation and resolution. Support the IT Manager in strategic and operational initiatives & provide occasional cover during absence.
Requirements:

Experience supporting and managing IT systems and networks in a professional setting. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving ability. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to support colleagues at all levels. A proactive approach to security, compliance, and system performance. Full UK driving licence (occasional travel required).
Desirable Skills:

Hands-on technical knowledge of:

Microsoft Technologies including Windows, 365, Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, Hyper-V. Server, desktop & handheld hardware. Networking concepts including TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS and VPN VOIP phone systems Backup and restore solutions Antivirus administration SQL Databases Transport and warehouse management solutions.
