IT Support Technician - Full time (36 hours per week) Monday - Friday - based across Broxbourne and Ware Campuses

- Salary 24,745- 30,205 per annum

We are currently recruiting for an IT Support Technician at Hertford Regional College. The role involves providing first and second-line IT support as part of our dedicated IT Support Team.

About The Role


The IT Support Technician will play a key role in the effective operation and maintenance of the wider IT Services Department, contributing to our ongoing service improvement plan. You will provide first and second-line technical support for a variety of IT devices and services. You will also be responsible for managing IT-related incidents and requests throughout their lifecycle, from logging tickets in our Service Management System to investigation, troubleshooting, and resolution or escalation.


About You


The ideal candidate will have a strong background in delivering exceptional customer service and hold a relevant technical or IT-related qualification (either industry-based or academic).


Experience in a helpdesk environment is essential, particularly in providing first and second-line technical support. You should possess solid, demonstrable knowledge of a wide range of IT devices and services. Previous experience in an IT customer service role is required, ideally within the education sector, with a proven ability to work both independently and as part of a team. You will be an enthusiastic self-starter, eager to progress and develop within an IT role.
