Job Description

Do you have 5+ years' experience within technical or IT support? Are you comfortable dealing with Level 1 & 2 Tech escalations? We have the role for you!
We are working with an established Travel brand, who are looking for an experience IT Systems Engineer to join their team in London.
The role:

  • Act as the escalation point for technical queries from Level 1 and Level 2 Tech support analysts
  • Coordinate and communicate effectively during high-risk, business-critical P1 outages or security incidents
  • Perform proactive tasks such as firmware upgrades, process development, project delivery, and recurring infrastructure checks
  • Collaborate with team members to drive continuous service improvement and innovation
  • Provide technical support for business users, including corporate devices, non-corporate devices running business applications, network, Wi-Fi and travel applications.
  • Conduct regular maintenance and updates on laptops and desktops to ensure performance and security
  • Support staff and advisors in office locations with IT - relayed queries and troubleshooting
  • Log and manage incidents and support cases via ticket manging system ensuring timely resolution and clear communication.
  • Work closely with IT partners and internal departments to implement and enhance technologies.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of IT assets, configuration, procedures and knowledge base.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills. You should be able to communicate effectively with the clients, users, and other IT professionals, and present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner. You should also be able to identify, analyze, and solve problems, and provide creative and practical solutions.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. You should be able to plan, organize, and prioritize your work, and complete tasks within deadlines and budgets. You should also be able to collaborate and cooperate with other IT professionals and stakeholders, and contribute to the team's goals and objectives.
Qualifications & Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in a technical helpdesk or IT support environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of task automation with PowerShell and Power Automate
  • Familiarity with SharePoint and Microsoft Exchange Admin
  • Proficient in Microsoft technologies, including Office 365 and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)
  • Experience with Active Directory and Group Policy (GPO) , Azure Active Directory and Microsoft MDM (Intune)
  • Good experience with Windows Operating system, Apple Mac OS, iOS and mobile device management.
  • Solid understanding of networking concepts : TCP/IP, VLANs, firewalls and wireless configuration. Knowledge of Meraki firewalls, Aps and cameras will be an advantage.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex application, network connectivity and system issues.
  • Experience with IP phone systems, meeting room technologies (Zoom, Polycom, Genesys, Microsoft Teams)
  • Knowledge of the Travel industry and support with GDS applications will be an advantage
The package:
  • A salary of circa 45,000 (flexible for the right candidate / experiencer)
