We are seeking a skilled IT Systems Support professional to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support, maintaining IT systems, and ensuring smooth and efficient operation of our IT infrastructure across the business.

Tiflex Ltd is an integrated manufacturing and sales business with a long history in the production of rubber and cork products. It has grown into a multidisciplinary solutions organisation. Tiflex operates four divisions: Industrial, Flooring, Rail Products and Services, and Leisure.
Tiflex Ltd is based at Liskeard in Cornwall, has an annual turnover of around 16M, and employs around 160 people. It is a member of the James Walker Group of companies. The James Walker Group is a dynamic global manufacturing organisation that supplies a wide range of products and services, with an annual turnover in excess of 180 million.
Key Responsibilities
Provide first and second-line support to end-users via phone, email, and in person
Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues promptly to minimise downtime
Install, configure, and maintain desktop computers, laptops, printers, and other IT equipment
Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights in Active Directory and other systems
Monitor system performance and assist with IT infrastructure upgrades and deployments
Collaborate with third-party vendors and service providers as needed
Document incidents, solutions, and procedures to maintain a comprehensive knowledge base
Assist with backup and recovery operations, ensuring data integrity and security
Support compliance with IT policies and procedures, including cybersecurity protocols
Provide training and guidance to users on IT systems and best practices
REQUIREMENTS
Proven experience in IT systems support or a similar technical support role
Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and networking fundamentals
Experience with Active Directory, Exchange, VPN, and remote desktop tools
Basic understanding of IT infrastructure components including servers, switches, and firewalls
Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently
Strong communication skills, able to explain technical concepts to non-technical users
Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), or ITIL Foundation are desirable
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Willingness to occasionally work outside standard hours for maintenance or emergency support

Pay: 24,000.00-26,000.00 per year
