Description
The role will provide front line IT support to all internal colleagues within the organisation, you will assist on the helpdesk as one of the first points of contact for all IT and System related issues. General day-to-day responsibility will help to ensure the smooth running of IT and System functions.
First line desktop support to internal colleagues
PC & Laptop software build, configuration & repair
IT Peripheral support, setup & configuration.
Software loading & configuration
Application support: Microsoft Office, CRM & Finance systems
Support of LAN & WiFi networks
Support of fixed line & mobile telephony
Procurement of IT equipment
Escalation of issues & communications with third party service providers
Support of internal IT & System projects
Enforcement of IT policies & Information Security practices
Entry requirements
Minimum of 4 X GCSEs grades 9-4 (A-C) including English and Maths.
Training to be provided
Information Communication Technician Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard:
Qualification together with on site training by the employer.
For those starting at Advanced (Level 3), the expected duration would be eighteen months plus 4 months End point assessment stage)
There is an opportunity to progress on to the Higher Apprenticeship (Level 4) and ultimately on to a Degree Apprenticeship.
