We are looking for an individual who is familiar with IT systems and technology to help with our maintenance and troubleshooting. The successful candidate will also be responsible for installing, configuring, operating and maintaining networks and servers. This is an exciting opportunity to join our growing team. We provide a variety of IT and Telecommunications products and solutions to our customers and no two days are the same. This role will be both field and office based.
Responsibilities:
Install, administer, and troubleshoot computer hardware and software.
Provide onsite and remote telephone, workshop and email technical support.
Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues for PC's/laptops, printers, tablets, servers and other devices.
Manage a helpdesk and handle calls from users.
Install and configure PC hardware, peripherals, networking equipment, and software.
Install and assist with the monitoring of Anti-virus, RMM and back-up systems.
Maintain inventory of IT equipment.
Install, create and configure enterprise systems, such as email and intranet sites and data migration.
Programme and install VOIP phones and cloud based systems.
Keep strategic documents up to date.
Manage the overall function of the information technology department.
Deal with IT consultants.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience:
A track record of working as a team and taking ownership and responsibility for building strong relationships with customers
Able to prioritise and work to deadlines.
A high standard of written and verbal communication
Proven experience of providing IT installation & support and the troubleshooting of hardware and software issues.
Able to deal with confidential and sensitive information with tact and discretion.
PC Workstations, Windows OS, Apple OS, MS Server hardware and software
Office Applications including Microsoft Office 2010 - 2016
Cloud Services including Google, Microsoft Office 365 and exchange.
Knowledge and practical experience of configuring Routers, Firewalls, VPN's, Active Directory, Office 365
Security & Anti Virus software and Backup Systems
Network protocols & principles, IPv4, IPv6, LAN's, WAN's vLAN's & WiFi security methods.
Essential:
A high standard of written and verbal communication
Experience with Routers, Switches & WiFi devices, general Networking.
CAT 5e / CAT 6, cable instillation and management.
Well developed problem-solving skills
Full UK driving licence
Dyfed based or willing to relocate
