The Role

Reporting to the IT Manager, the IT Technician will be responsible for maintaining and supporting IT infrastructure across both office and production areas. You will provide first and second-line support to ensure smooth day-to-day operations, assist in implementing IT projects, and play a vital role in maintaining system security, availability, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide first and second-line IT support, managing and resolving tickets efficiently. Set up, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices. Maintain and update IT asset records and oversee hardware lifecycle. Manage user accounts and access rights (Active Directory, Office 365). Ensure all systems are kept current, including antivirus and software patches. Support project implementation and provide feedback on recurring issues. Deliver basic IT training and guidance to users on standard platforms such as Office 365. Deputise for the IT Manager during periods of absence. Carry out additional tasks as required by the IT Manager.

Required Skills & Experience:

Level 3 BTEC in IT or equivalent qualification Previous experience in an IT support role Proficiency in Windows Server (on-premises and Azure) Experience with AD, Exchange Online (Hybrid), and networks (wired and wireless)

Desirable Experience:

Familiarity with ERP systems Basic SQL knowledge
