As we grow and embrace new technologies, we are looking for a skilled IT Technician to support and enhance our digital infrastructure across care and administrative systems.
The Role:
As our IT Technician, you will play a key role in maintaining and supporting the agency's IT systems, ensuring compliance with data protection and cyber security standards, and assisting staff with IT-related issues. This includes supporting care systems such as digital care records, rostering platforms, and secure data handling tools.
Responsibilities:
Provide first-line IT support to office and care staff.
Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software (e.g. laptops, mobile devices, Wi-Fi networks, printers).
Ensure cyber security protocols are in place and up to date (firewalls, antivirus, encryption, access control).
Monitor data protection compliance and assist with audits and DPIAs.
Troubleshoot network and system issues across multiple sites.
Maintain accurate IT asset and software records.
Liaise with external IT providers when required.
Requirements:
Previous experience in an IT support or technician role.
Strong knowledge of Windows OS, Office 365, cloud-based platforms (e.g. OneDrive, SharePoint).
Understanding of data protection and cyber security principles (GDPR, UK Data Protection Act).
Good organisational and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and respond to support requests in a timely manner.
Full UK driving licence (if travel between care sites is needed).
Desirable:
Experience supporting IT systems in healthcare or care sector settings.
Knowledge of care management software (e.g. PASS, CarePlanner, Staffplan).
Cyber Essentials or other IT security qualifications.
