Overview

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food production and preparation, mainly of Italian dishes including pasta, lasagne etc. Coupled with excellent leadership and team management skills. This role is pivotal in ensuring the highest standards of food quality and safety while creating an exceptional dining experience for our guests.

Duties

Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficiency and adherence to health and safety regulations. Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, showcasing culinary creativity and attention to detail. Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and training to enhance their skills and performance. Manage food inventory, ensuring proper stock levels and minimising waste. Collaborate with the front-of-house team to ensure seamless service delivery. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen environment at all times. Implement and uphold food safety standards in accordance with regulations.

Skills

Proven experience in a similar role within the hospitality or restaurant industry. Strong supervisory experience, demonstrating effective team management capabilities. Comprehensive knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods. Excellent culinary skills, with a passion for creating high-quality dishes. Familiarity with food safety practices and regulations to ensure compliance. Ability to lead by example, fostering a positive work environment that encourages teamwork. Strong communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with staff at all levels.
