Zia Pizza Semington is seeking a

talented and passionate Chef

to join our vibrant Italian kitchen team. We are looking for someone with at least

1 year of experience in an Italian kitchen environment

You'll play a key role in preparing and presenting authentic Italian dishes, maintaining our high standards, and helping lead the kitchen team.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee and participate in the daily preparation and cooking of dishes, focusing on authentic Italian cuisine. Maintain top-quality food presentation and taste consistency. Supervise and support kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient kitchen operations. Collaborate on menu planning and specials that align with seasonal ingredients and Italian culinary traditions. Ensure all food safety and hygiene standards are strictly followed. Manage stock levels, minimise food waste, and ensure proper storage of all ingredients. Assist with the training and development of junior staff, promoting best kitchen practices. Communicate effectively with front-of-house staff to ensure timely and accurate service.

Skills & Requirements

Minimum 1 year of experience working in an Italian kitchen or preparing Italian cuisine. Proficient in key cooking techniques including pizza, pasta, and other Italian specialties. Good knowledge of kitchen operations, food hygiene, and safety standards. Strong leadership and communication skills with a team-first mentality. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment. A genuine passion for food and continuous learning -- we provide additional training and support to help you grow. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and busy periods as required.

Pay: 11.44-18.52 per hour
