We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of food production and safety standards. As a Chef, you will be responsible for creating exceptional dishes that reflect our commitment to quality and hospitality. This role requires a hands-on approach to cooking, food preparation, and supervising kitchen staff to ensure a smooth operation.
Responsibilities
Lead the kitchen team in food preparation and cooking, ensuring high standards of quality and presentation.
Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to foster a collaborative environment.
Develop and design innovative menus that highlight seasonal ingredients and culinary trends.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen at all times.
Manage inventory, including ordering supplies and minimising waste through efficient food production practices.
Train new staff members in cooking techniques, food safety protocols, and kitchen operations.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar culinary role, with a strong portfolio of dishes.
Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate and lead a diverse kitchen team.
In-depth knowledge of food safety practices and culinary techniques.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
A passion for hospitality and creating memorable dining experiences for guests.
Culinary qualifications or relevant certifications are preferred but not essential.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
