Job Summary


We are seeking an experienced and passionate Chef to lead our culinary team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive culinary expertise, and a keen eye for food safety and presentation. This role involves overseeing food production, managing kitchen operations, and ensuring high standards of quality and service are maintained at all times.

Duties



Prepare, cook, and present a variety of dishes in accordance with established recipes and standards Supervise and manage kitchen staff, including training and mentoring team members Oversee food production to ensure consistency, quality, and timely delivery Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene standards Organise and manage kitchen operations during service periods, including inventory control and ordering supplies Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery Monitor kitchen equipment and facilities for cleanliness and proper functioning Assist in menu planning, development, and innovation to enhance customer satisfaction Lead by example in maintaining a positive, organised, and efficient kitchen environment

Requirements



Proven experience in a professional kitchen environment, preferably within a restaurant or hospitality setting Supervising experience with the ability to lead and motivate a team effectively Strong background in food preparation, cooking techniques, and food presentation Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations (HACCP certification is advantageous) Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously Leadership qualities with a focus on teamwork and staff development Experience in food production management, ensuring consistency across dishes served Good communication skills to coordinate with team members and front-of-house staff Passion for culinary arts with a creative approach to menu development Previous hospitality or restaurant experience is highly desirable

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 14.00-15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 45 per week
