The Role

We're looking for a reliable and practical Jet Vac Operative to support drainage operations across the Southwest. Working from our Plympton depot, you'll assist with high-pressure jetting to clear and maintain drainage systems. This physically active, outdoor role is ideal for someone who enjoys teamwork, problem-solving, and hands-on work that makes a visible difference in communities. Drainage experience is desirable, but full training will be provided within this role for the right candidate

Key Responsibilities

Assist in jetting and cleaning sewers, drains, and culverts Work closely with the HGV Jetting Rig Leaders on site-based tasks Handle high-pressure hoses and support site setups Diagnose and report drainage issues or blockages Maintain safe working practices and use PPE correctly Complete site records and digital job logs accurately Work flexibly and independently across a range of sites and conditions

What You'll Need

Full UK driving licence Good physical fitness and the ability to work outdoors A positive, can-do attitude and strong work ethic Flexible to work overtime and take part in a call-out rota Comfortable working in and around wastewater environments

Desirable Experience

CSCS Card Confined Space Entry (Medium or High Risk) High-Pressure Water Jetting Certificate Streetworks (NRSWA) certification Experience in jet vac sewer cleaning equipment and working within the Utility, Construction and Highway sectors
