Location: Around London, Central offices based in Bexleyheath
Salary: 28,000 - 30,000 per annum
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

We are looking for a motivated Trainee / Assistant Surveyor to join our team. Ideally to have experience or an interest in social housing and reactive maintenance and want to develop your technical and practical surveying skills.

This role offers hands-on experience, structured learning, and clear progression opportunities within a supportive and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:



Assist in surveying and inspecting social housing properties Identify and report on defects, disrepair, and maintenance issues Carry out accurate measuring of buildings and spaces Quantify materials and labour requirements for reactive and planned maintenance works Prepare condition surveys, defect reports, and schedules of works / quotations Liaise with tenants, sub-contractors, and colleagues to ensure effective project coordination Support compliance with housing standards, health & safety regulations, and company procedures

What We're Looking For:

Previous experience in social housing or reactive maintenance (including internships/placements) Ability to take accurate measurements and quantify materials needed for repairs and small works Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills Good verbal and written communication

Desirable:



Degree (or currently studying/working towards) in Building Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field Full UK driving licence (preferred but not essential)
