Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Builder to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a diverse range of construction skills and experience, enabling them to contribute effectively to various building projects. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with other tradespeople. As a Builder, you will be responsible for constructing, repairing, and maintaining structures while ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

Duties

Construct and assemble building frameworks, including walls, roofs, and door frames. Perform carpentry tasks such as cutting, shaping, and installing materials. Plumb and level structures to ensure accuracy and stability. Operate power tools and hand tools safely and effectively. Carry out roofing tasks including installation and repair of roofing materials. Execute electrical work as required for specific projects. Fabricate components as needed for custom builds or repairs. Conduct masonry work including bricklaying and stonework. Paint surfaces to finish projects according to specifications. Weld metal components when necessary for structural integrity. Collaborate with other tradespeople on-site to ensure project completion.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Builder or in a similar construction role. Proficiency in using power tools and hand tools relevant to the trade. Strong understanding of building codes and safety regulations. Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately. Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labour tasks effectively. Good communication skills for teamwork and collaboration on-site. Relevant certifications or qualifications in construction are advantageous but not essential.

Pay: 15.06-20.00 per hour
