Job Description

Josh Gosling Carpentry & Construction is an independent building contractor, and carpentry business based near Callington in Cornwall.

We have several varied projects coming up and we are looking for a multi-skilled builder to join our talented team. We will consider part-time or full-time availability, as either a sub-contractor or employee. Can be discussed on an individual basis.

Pay rate will be dependent on experience.

We offer an immediate start following your successful interview.

Responsibilities:



- Use power tools and hand tools to carry out construction tasks.
- Perform basic carpentry work, including framing, roofing, and finishing.
- Undertake masonry work, including bricklaying and stonework.
- Carry out aspects of preliminary groundworks.
- Work together with the team to achieve timely and precise completion of projects.
- Work with little supervision, safely and productively.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Follow health and safety guidelines at all times.

Experience:



- Proven experience in building or construction roles is essential.
- Experience in masonry, carpentry, groundworks, or plastering is highly desirable.
- Ability to read technical drawings and blueprints is an advantage.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team are essential.

Requirements:



- A commitment to high-quality workmanship and attention to detail is crucial for success in this role.
- Full driving license and your own transport required to get to project locations.
- Physical fitness and ability to lift heavy objects.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Temporary

Pay: 15.00-20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 - 40 per week

Schedule:

Monday to Friday
Work Location: In person
