Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Joiner to join our construction and Window Fitting/Glazing team. The ideal candidate will have experience in fabrication, assembly, and the use of various hand and power tools. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects, including roofing, masonry, plumbing, electrical work, and construction painting. The successful applicant will demonstrate strong craftsmanship, safety awareness, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Duties

Fabricate and assemble bespoke wooden structures and fittings according to technical drawings and specifications Operate hand tools such as chisels, saws, hammers, and screwdrivers with precision Use power tools including drills, saws, and sanders to cut, shape, and finish materials Install joinery components in various settings including residential, commercial, and industrial sites Assist with roofing tasks, ensuring proper fitting and sealing of roof structures Perform heavy lifting of materials safely to facilitate construction activities Contribute to masonry, plumbing, electrical installations as required for integrated building projects Carry out construction painting tasks to prepare surfaces for finishing Maintain a clean and organised workspace adhering to health and safety regulations

Requirements

Proven experience in joinery / window fitting with a strong understanding of fabrication and assembly techniques Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively Knowledge of roofing, masonry, plumbing, electrical work, or construction painting is advantageous Ability to perform heavy lifting safely during demanding physical tasks Strong attention to detail with excellent craftsmanship skills Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately Good organisational skills with the capacity to work independently or as part of a team Relevant qualifications or apprenticeships in carpentry or joinery are preferred but not essential
