Job Role:

The Specialized Multi - Skilled Craftsperson Joiner will be part of a multi-skilled team within the Estates Department


To provide an efficient and cost effective maintenance and repair service to all properties owned or leased by the Trust.


The post holder will assist in providing day- to - day minor building works, and minor new works installations associated with the upkeep and repair of the estate of the Royal Bolton Hospital, and of its own external and clients premises.



To carry out reactive maintenance, planned preventative maintenance, inspection, minor installation or alteration works upon a wide range of building components, fittings / fixtures, and also carry out new works installations as required

Operate woodworking machinery requiring a certificate of competence for use , and compliance with the "woodworking Regulations;1974", and the "provision and use of of work Operate woodworking machinery requiring a vc

Qualifications, Experience and Skills:

A good general education.


Relevant qualifications in construction, to be inclusive of :


Level 2 English and Maths


City and Guilds Ordinary craft certificate in Joinery


City and Guilds Advanced craft certificate in Joinery


N.V.Q level 2 Certificate in Joinery


N.V.Q level 3 / 4 Certificate in Joinery
