Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Joiner to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and installing various wooden and composite structures on-site, This role offers an excellent opportunity to work on diverse projects, contributing to high-quality craftsmanship and construction standards. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in carpentry and joinery, with experience working with both hand tools and power tools. A proactive attitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work safely within a team environment are essential.

Duties

Fabricate bespoke joinery components according to technical drawings and specifications Assemble structures using hand tools such as chisels, saws, planes, and measuring devices Operate power tools including drills, saws, sanders, and routers safely and efficiently Install joinery elements in various settings, including roofing frameworks, flooring, doors, windows, and furniture Carry out heavy lifting of materials and components as required for project completion Assist with roofing tasks by fitting trusses or sheathing as part of larger building projects Maintain a clean and organised work environment adhering to health and safety regulations Collaborate with other tradespeople such as masons, electricians, plumbers, and painters to ensure seamless project delivery

Experience

Proven experience in fabrication, assembly, carpentry or joinery within the construction or manufacturing sectors Skilled in the use of hand tools and power tools specific to joinery and woodworking tasks Knowledge of roofing techniques, masonry work, plumbing systems or electrical installations is advantageous but not essential Ability to undertake heavy lifting safely during material handling and installation processes Familiarity with construction painting or finishing techniques is desirable Previous experience working on residential or commercial building sites is preferred but not mandatory
Candidates should demonstrate strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety standards. A background in multiple trades such as roofing, and masonry work will be considered an asset for versatile project involvement.

Pay: 17.69-25.00 per hour
