Job Summary


We are seeking a skilled Joiner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in joinery and carpentry, with the ability to work effectively with both hand and power tools. This role requires a keen eye for detail, as well as the physical capability to perform heavy lifting and work in various conditions. The Joiner will be responsible for constructing, assembling, and installing wooden structures and fixtures, ensuring high-quality workmanship throughout.

Responsibilities



Construct and assemble wooden structures, including frameworks, doors, windows, and furniture. Use hand tools and power tools to cut, shape, and finish materials. Measure and mark materials accurately to ensure proper fit and alignment. Perform heavy lifting as required during the assembly and installation processes. Collaborate with other tradespeople such as carpenters, electricians, and masons to complete projects efficiently. Ensure all work is completed in accordance with safety regulations and quality standards. Maintain a clean and organised work environment at all times. Troubleshoot any issues that arise during the construction process and make necessary adjustments.

Experience



Proven experience as a Joiner or in a similar role within the construction industry is essential. Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively. Knowledge of joinery techniques, including plumb, masonry, roofing, and electrical aspects related to joinery work is advantageous. Ability to perform heavy lifting and handle physically demanding tasks on a regular basis. Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills. Good communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and other tradespeople.

Pay: 13.85-23.91 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

Day shift Monday to Friday Overtime Weekend availability
