Overview

We are seeking a skilled Joiner to join our team, responsible for constructing, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures made from wood and other materials. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in joinery and be comfortable working with various tools and equipment. This role requires a commitment to quality craftsmanship and attention to detail, ensuring that all work meets the highest standards.

Duties

Construct and assemble wooden structures, including roofs, frames, and cabinetry. Use power tools and hand tools to cut, shape, and join materials. Fabricate components according to specifications and drawings. Ensure all installations are plumb, level, and square. Perform masonry work as required for specific projects. Carry out painting tasks to finish surfaces as needed. Collaborate with other tradespeople on-site to ensure project completion. Maintain a clean and safe working environment by following health and safety regulations.

Skills

Proficient in joinery techniques with experience in heavy lifting. Strong knowledge of power tools and hand tools used in the trade. Ability to assemble structures accurately while adhering to design specifications. Familiarity with roofing techniques is advantageous. Basic masonry skills are a plus for integrated construction tasks. Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in all aspects of work. Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members.
