Job Summary



As a Joiner you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality carpentry and joinery services across various residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Your primary responsibilities will include the installation, repair, and maintenance of wooden structures, fixtures, and fittings. You will work closely with clients and colleagues to ensure that all tasks are completed to the highest standards, adhering to safety regulations and project specifications. Your expertise in woodworking techniques and attention to detail will be vital in providing exceptional service and contributing to the overall success of our projects.

Duties & Responsibilities



Key Responsibilities:



Carpentry and Joinery Work:

Carry out skilled carpentry and joinery work, including constructing, repairing, and installing various wooden structures, fixtures, and fittings.

Maintenance and Repairs:

Perform routine maintenance and repairs on existing buildings, facilities, and equipment, including doors, windows, floors, and roofs.

Project Work:

Work on various projects, such as new builds, renovations, and refurbishments, ensuring timely completion and adherence to quality standards.

Collaboration:

Collaborate with other tradespeople, such as electricians, plumbers, and bricklayers, to ensure seamless project execution.

Site Preparation:

Prepare work sites, including setting up safety barriers, cleaning, and organizing tools and materials.

Quality Control:

Inspect and test completed work to ensure it meets quality standards and company specifications.

Health and Safety:

Adhere to company health and safety policies, procedures, and regulations, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and others.

Communication:

Effectively communicate with colleagues, supervisors, and clients to ensure project requirements are met and any issues are addressed promptly

Qualifications & Experience



Education:

SVQ Level 3 in Carpentry and Joinery or equivalent qualification (e.g. City & Guilds, NVQ)

Certification:

CSCS card or ability to obtain one preferable

Experience:

Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a maintenance or construction environment

Knowledge: Carpentry Techniques,

Tool proficiency, Building Codes and Regulations, material properties, building maintenance

Skills:



o Proficiency in carpentry and joinery techniques, including hand and power tool operation.

o Ability to read and interpret plans, drawings and specifications.

o Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

o Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Technology:



o Be comfortable with smartphones/tablets for accessing work schedules and communication tools.

o Familiarity with power tools and machinery and their safety features
