Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Joiner to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in joinery and carpentry, with the ability to work with various materials and tools. As a Joiner, you will be responsible for fabricating and installing wooden structures, fixtures, and fittings in both residential and commercial settings. This role requires attention to detail, a commitment to quality craftsmanship, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Duties

Fabricate and assemble wooden structures such as doors, windows, and furniture. Install joinery products in accordance with specifications and building regulations. Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to complete tasks. Perform masonry work as required for structural support or aesthetic purposes. Ensure all work is plumb, level, and square as per project requirements. Collaborate with other tradespeople including carpenters and electricians on-site. Conduct regular maintenance checks on tools and equipment to ensure they are in good working order. Assist with heavy lifting and moving of materials as necessary during projects.

Skills

Proficient in joinery techniques with experience in carpentry. Strong knowledge of hand tools and power tools used in the construction industry. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently. Familiarity with roofing structures is advantageous. Basic electrical skills are desirable for integrated projects. Excellent problem-solving abilities with attention to detail in all aspects of work. Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and clients.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 15.00-18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 39 per week
