Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Joiner to join our void property and reactive maintenance team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various aspects of carpentry and joinery, with a strong focus on kitchen and bathroom replacements, working with the public and problem solving in a reactive maintenance environment.

All works are carried out within the Shettleston area of Glasgow on properties managed by our parent organisation (Shettleston housing Association)

Duties

Fabricate and assemble bespoke timber components according to project specifications Use hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently to cut, shape, and install woodwork Perform joinery tasks including fitting doors, plying floors, installing wet wall panels, and other associated joinery works Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and industry standards Collaborate with other tradespeople to complete projects on time and to a high standard Maintain a clean and organised work environment at all times

Requirements

Proven experience in fabrication, assembly, carpentry or joinery roles Proficiency with hand tools such as saws, chisels, hammers, and screwdrivers Competence in operating power tools including drills, sanders, and saws Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in all aspects of work Physical fitness to undertake manual labour over extended periods Relevant qualifications or apprenticeships in carpentry or joinery Valid UK driving essential for transportation between sites

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 16.34-17.17 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
