Job Description

Borthwick Group is a company established in 2008, with a workforce of over 200 staff and a fleet of over 100 vans. We are currently seeking a team of joiners to assist in properties that are currently under development.

This role involves working away throughout the week in locations generally outside of the North East, the company provide transport, accommodation and food allowances.

Responsibilities:

As a Joiner you will collaborate with the construction team to assist in the execution of joinery tasks as required in properties under development Carry out a wide range of joinery duties, including but not limited to fitting doors, windows, skirting boards, cabinets, and other bespoke fixtures Read and interpret technical drawings and plans to ensure accurate installation and alignment of joinery components Operate a variety of hand and power tools safely and efficiently to complete tasks Collaborate with other tradespeople, such as plumbers, electricians, and decorators to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of projects Adhere to health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and organised work area Proactively identify potential issues or challenges and communicate them to the supervisor or project manager
Requirements:

Experience as a Joiner Proficient in all aspects of joinery, including fitting doors, windows, skirting boards, and cabinets Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and plans Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work Strong teamwork and communication skills to collaborate with other tradespeople Knowledge of health and safety regulations and practices Physical fitness and manual dexterity to handle tools and materials Ability to travel where necessary throughout the working week Full UK driving licence with 6 points or less
