Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Joiner to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and installing various wooden and other material structures on-site and in workshops. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong background in carpentry and joinery to contribute to diverse building projects, including roofing, masonry, plumbing, and electrical work. The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for detail, excellent craftsmanship, and the ability to work safely within a team environment.

Duties

Fabricate and assemble bespoke joinery components using hand tools and power tools Install wooden frameworks, doors, windows, staircases, and other structural elements Assist with roofing tasks, ensuring proper fit and finish Perform heavy lifting of materials safely to support construction activities Conduct construction painting and finishing work as required Support plumbing, masonry, and electrical teams during integrated building projects Ensure all work complies with safety standards and building regulations Maintain a clean and organised workspace throughout each project phase Read technical drawings and specifications to execute precise joinery work

Experience

Proven experience in fabrication, assembly, and carpentry or joinery roles Skilled in the use of hand tools such as chisels, saws, hammers, and screwdrivers Proficient with power tools including drills, saws, sanders, and grinders Knowledge of roofing techniques and materials is desirable Experience working on construction sites with exposure to masonry, plumbing, or electrical tasks is advantageous Ability to undertake heavy lifting safely and efficiently during demanding projects Familiarity with construction painting techniques is a plus Previous experience in masonry or electrical work will be considered an asset Relevant qualifications or apprenticeships in carpentry or joinery are preferred but not essential

Pay: 20.00-25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
