Birch Tree Northern Ltd is a construction company based in Killingworth, Newcastle upon Tyne. Our work and clients are all based within the North East.

We undertake all aspects of commercial building works - including dilapidation, refurbishment, roofing works, planned and reactive maintenance.

We are looking for an experienced first and second fix joiner to work with our growing and fast paced company.

The successful candidate will be disciplined in all aspects of joinery. They will have proficient building knowledge to be able to assist and diagnose complex building issues. They will be able to work productively, to a high standard, to agreed deadlines, with minimum supervisions. Applicants should be able to demonstrate at least 10 years' experience.

Applicants will be expected to have their own tools and plant (within reason) to undertake daily duties.

Applicants must have an in date CSCS card and a current valid UK driving license.

Ideally the applicant will also hold certification for Asbestos Awareness, Manual Handling, Working at Heights and a Face Fit Test. Where these are not already held, there will be an opportunity to complete prior to commencement of work.

As our busiest period of our financial year approaches, we will be looking to select applicants for interviews promptly.

Competitive hourly rate to be agreed.

40 hours per week Monday to Friday (7.30am-16.00)

6 months probationary period.

Potential use of company van.

Reporting to the Head of Contracts Management.
