We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Joiner to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in carpentry and joinery, with experience in fabrication, assembly, and the use of various hand and power tools. This role involves working on diverse projects, including roofing, masonry, plumbing, electrical work, and construction painting. The successful applicant will contribute to delivering high-quality craftsmanship across multiple building sites, ensuring safety and precision at all times.
Responsibilities
Fabricate and assemble bespoke wooden structures and fittings according to technical drawings and specifications
Operate hand tools, power tools, and specialised joinery equipment safely and efficiently
Install joinery components such as doors, windows, staircases, and cabinetry on-site
Assist with roofing, masonry, plumbing, electrical tasks, and construction painting as required
Perform heavy lifting of materials and components safely to facilitate smooth workflow
Maintain a clean and organised work environment to adhere to health and safety standards
Collaborate with project managers and other tradespeople to ensure timely completion of projects
Conduct routine inspections of completed work to ensure quality standards are met
Qualifications
Proven experience in fabrication, assembly, carpentry, or joinery roles within the construction industry
Proficiency with hand tools such as chisels, saws, hammers, screwdrivers; as well as power tools including drills and saws
Knowledge of roofing techniques, masonry work, plumbing systems, electrical installations, and construction painting is desirable
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work at heights when necessary
Strong understanding of health & safety regulations relevant to construction sites
Relevant qualifications or certifications in carpentry or joinery are preferred but not essential
Valid UK driving licence is advantageous for site travel purposes
