Bespoke Building and Maintenance NE Ltd are an established repair and maintenance contractor based in Newcastle upon Tyne and Durham but working throughout the North East, principally in domestic properties within social housing and private developments. This role will be based in Newcastle and covering Durham, North Tyneside, Sunderland areas.
Own van and tools required don't apply without these.
Applications are invited from experienced time served Joiners with extensive kitchen fitting experience . Further skills in other trades would be advantageous . To work within our expanding Newcastle team.
Applicants should have:
- Fully qualified joiner, competent in all aspects of joinery including kitchen fitting,plumbing,patch plastering.
-Ideal candidate will proficient in other areas of construction
- a flexible outlook,
- a full driving licence,
- good people skills and be able to communicate sensitively with home owners,
- experience of working within the insurance repair industry and;
- be willing to submit to a DBS check.
Responsibilities
Construct and assemble and install doors, windows, and furniture.
Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for cutting, shaping, and finishing wood.
Perform painting and finishing tasks as required to enhance the appearance of completed projects.
Ensure all work is plumb, level, and square by applying appropriate measuring techniques.
Collaborate with other tradespeople such as carpenters and electricians to complete projects efficiently.
Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Carry out heavy lifting as necessary to move materials and equipment on-site.
Qualifications
Proven experience in joinery or carpentry is essential.

Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, and machinery related to joinery work.
Plumbing and Patch plastering experience advantageous
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately.
Strong knowledge of joinery techniques, including assembly methods and fabrication processes.
Experience with electrical installations is an advantage but not mandatory.
Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Physical fitness to perform heavy lifting and stand for extended periods.
