We are seeking a skilled Joiner to join our dynamic social housing team as a subcontractor. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in joinery and carpentry, with the ability to fabricate and install various wooden structures. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and the capability to work with a variety of materials and tools. As a Joiner, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our projects are completed to the highest standards.

Responsibilities

Fabricate and assemble wooden structures predominately fire doors Perform joinery tasks including cutting, shaping, and finishing wood materials. Work collaboratively with other tradespeople on-site, including masons and electricians. Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with safety regulations and best practices. Conduct repairs and maintenance on existing structures as required. Use power tools safely and effectively for various tasks. Perform heavy lifting as necessary during installations or repairs.

Skills

Proficiency in using power tools relevant to joinery and carpentry. Strong understanding of roofing techniques and materials. Ability to plumb structures accurately for proper alignment. Experience in masonry work is advantageous. Basic electrical knowledge is a plus for integrated projects. Competence in painting and finishing techniques to enhance final products. Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
