We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Joiner to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and installing various wooden and composite structures on-site and in workshops. This role requires a strong understanding of joinery techniques, the safe operation of hand and power tools, and the ability to work efficiently within a team environment. The ideal applicant will have experience in carpentry, roofing, plumbing, masonry, or electrical work, with a keen eye for detail and safety compliance.
Duties
Fabricate and assemble bespoke timber components using hand tools and power tools to meet project specifications.
Install joinery elements such as doors, windows, staircases, and customised fittings on construction sites.
Perform roofing tasks including sheathing, tiling, and waterproofing as required.
Assist with construction painting, plastering, and finishing work to ensure high-quality standards.
Carry out heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely to support various stages of building projects.
Support plumbing, masonry, or electrical tasks where necessary to facilitate integrated construction processes.
Maintain a clean and organised workspace adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
Collaborate with other tradespeople to ensure timely project completion and quality workmanship.
Qualifications
Proven experience in fabrication, assembly, carpentry, or joinery is essential.
Proficiency with hand tools such as saws, chisels, hammers, and screwdrivers.
Experience operating power tools including drills, sanders, and saws.
Knowledge of roofing techniques, plumbing systems, masonry work, or electrical installations is advantageous.
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work at heights if required.
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in measuring and cutting materials accurately.
Relevant qualifications or apprenticeships in carpentry or joinery are preferred but not mandatory.
