Overview

We are seeking a skilled Joiners mate to join our fast paced team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in carpentry and joinery, demonstrating proficiency in both traditional and modern techniques. This role requires attention to detail, a commitment to quality craftsmanship, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

Fabricate and assemble wooden structures and fixtures according to specifications. Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for various tasks. Perform joinery tasks, including cutting, shaping, and joining materials. Ensure all work is plumb, level, and square to meet design requirements. Conduct masonry work as needed for structural support. Carry out painting and finishing tasks to enhance the aesthetic appeal of completed projects. Lift heavy materials as required while adhering to health and safety regulations. Maintain a clean and organised work environment, ensuring tools are stored properly after use.

Experience

Proven experience as a Joiner or Carpenter with a strong portfolio of completed projects. Proficiency in using hand tools such as chisels, saws, and hammers, as well as power tools like routers and drills. Experience with heavy lifting techniques and the ability to handle materials safely. Knowledge of masonry techniques is advantageous but not essential. Familiarity with painting techniques to finish woodwork is preferred. Strong problem-solving skills with an eye for detail in all aspects of joinery work.
