We are seeking a joiners mate to join our team, must be willing to work away from home Mon - Friday , accommodation and travel will be provided , Must be responsible for constructing, assembling, and installing wooden structures and fixtures. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of joinery techniques and be adept at using both hand and power tools. This role requires a commitment to quality craftsmanship and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
Duties
Assemble and install wooden structures, including roofs, doors, windows, and cabinetry.
Fabricate components according to specifications, ensuring precision in measurements and cuts.
Perform joinery tasks with attention to detail, utilising various techniques to achieve high-quality finishes.
Conduct painting and finishing work on completed projects as required.
Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for all tasks.
Collaborate with other tradespeople to ensure seamless integration of joinery work with electrical and plumbing installations.
Undertake heavy lifting as necessary during the assembly and installation processes.
Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
Experience
Proven experience in joinery or a related field is essential.
Familiarity with roof assembly techniques is advantageous.
Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools is required.
Experience in painting and finishing woodwork will be considered a plus.
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely is necessary for this role.
A strong understanding of joinery principles, along with the ability to read technical drawings, is preferred.
