We're now looking for an experienced
Joinery Manager
to lead our workshop team and oversee projects from concept to completion - ensuring every detail is delivered to the highest standard.
The Role
As
Joinery Manager
, you'll be at the heart of our operations - managing the full production process, driving quality, and inspiring a team of skilled joiners, machinists, and apprentices. You'll work closely with our design and commercial teams, turning client visions into reality while keeping projects on time, on budget, and to exacting standards.
What You'll Do
Lead & Inspire
Manage and motivate a workshop team of 10-15 staff, fostering a culture of craftsmanship and pride.
Recruit, train, and mentor staff to build a skilled, engaged, and high-performing team.
Plan & Deliver
Oversee daily workshop operations, ensuring seamless production from design to installation.
Implement efficient workflows and scheduling to maximise productivity.
Collaborate & Create
Work directly with clients and internal teams to deliver practical, cost-effective joinery solutions.
Provide technical input and material recommendations to achieve the best results.
Ensure Quality & Safety
Maintain the highest quality standards in every project.
Enforce health & safety regulations, conducting regular checks and ensuring safe machinery use.
Drive Improvement & Growth
Identify ways to improve processes, reduce waste, and embrace new joinery techniques.
Support the strategic growth of the joinery division with fresh ideas and innovations.
What We're Looking For
Strong background in joinery and manufacturing.
Proven project management and planning skills.
Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
Ability to manage multiple projects under pressure.
Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Ideally, experience in CAD design (AutoCAD, Inventor, SolidWorks, etc.) and shopfitting.
