Joinery Trainee
Job Description
This post is for a training programme, however we work closely with local companies who are willing to trial enthusiastic and committed future Joiners during training with progression to apprenticeship if candidates have the desired skills and work ethic.
The successful applicant must be be keen, reliable and hardworking.
The training programme sessions taught are
Basic introduction to carpentry and joinery, Identifying basic hand tools, discussing uses and limitations
Health and Safety in a construction environment alongside knowledge units
basic wood work joints and their uses
Building small project , doo r linings, roof trusses, skirtings and mouldings and window frames
following safe working practice and communication with other
all sessions have practical elements alongside knowledge units to be completed.
Required Skills
Excellent Time keeping
Excellent attendance
Initial level 1&2 training is delivered at our Jarrow centre, with help towards expenses.
please reply before 12th August as the training ends 31st October.

Pay: 7.55 per hour
