We have four Street Lighting PFI's and work for most local authorities in the areas we operate in. As a leading Independent Connections Provider (ICP), we deliver connection and jointing services for many of the UK's top housing developers. We also hold agreements to work on both Distribution Network Operator (DNO) and Independent Distribution Network Operator (IDNO) networks across the UK.
Are you ready to step into a pivotal role where every action contributes to illuminating our streets and highways? We're seeking a dedicated Jointers Mate to join our esteemed team.
As a Jointers Mate, you'll be instrumental in the installation and maintenance of street lighting and highway electrical equipment. This includes crucial assistance to Jointers in making connections to DNO/IDNO networks.
Key Responsibilities
+ Safely operate tools, equipment and vehicles and vehicle-mounted lorry loader cranes.
+ Execute excavation and reinstatement tasks across various surface types, adhering to current NRSWA standards.
+ Take ownership of personal health and safety, ensuring adherence to our company's Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality policies.
+ Follow operational working practices, method statements, and risk assessments meticulously.
+ Select and utilize company-provided PPE and equipment in alignment with relevant risk assessments and method statements for each task.
What we need from you
Recognized Electrical Apprenticeship or Street Lighting and LV Services training program.
Full G39 qualification.
Current NRSWA Accreditation.
Valid First Aid and Manual Handling certificates.
Authorization to carry out 3PH UG connections to DNO/IDNO networks.
Proficiency in understanding operational and 1:500 electrical network diagrams.
Current NRSWA and CSCS accreditations.
Full UK driving licence.
