We are looking for a reliable Junior Finance Manager to join a small team in the Finance department of 1 Answer Insurance. The candidate will be reporting into the Senior Finance Manager and will be responsible for maintaining their own workload and hitting deadlines. Training will be provided by the Senior Finance Manager who you will work closely with to ensure the day to day running of the Finance function. The ideal candidate will be proactive and helpful, and manage the team with a firm but fair approach, ensuring everyone is supported and deadlines are hit.
Responsibilities:
Reconcile the Monthly Insurer statements, raise queries and maintain the unreconciled reports
Maintain Insurer relations
Raise payments in line with deadlines
Ensure deadlines are hit within the team
Maintain the company expense accounts and reconcile at month end
Manage 1 x Finance Administrator and 1 x Debt Team Lead (Debt Team Lead Manages 2 x Employees) including monthly 1 to 1's and performance management
Collate and authorise the Debt Team Bonus figures
Process Month End Report
Produce Monthly Finance Report
Provide Variance analysis based on Profit and Loss report
Maintain company cashflow and ensure solvency
Maintain and post company journals
Support the Senior Finance Manager
Ad-Hoc Finance Tasks
The idea candidate:
To have AAT Level 4 or 3 years experience in a Finance Role
Understanding of how the finance function works
Very strong organisational skills
Ability to work independently and adhere to multiple deadlines
Empathetic and hard working
Experience in people managing is preferred
Trustworthy and able to adhere to confidentiality
A day in the life for this role:
9am Update the cashflow, check and update solvency projections and report any concerns to Senior Finance Manager.
9:30 check in with the team and ensure they are supported for the day ahead/ we are on track to hit deadlines
10am Work on Insurer monthly statement reconciliation and answer any emails relating to insurer queries
1pm Lunch and unplug, balance is key
2pm Work on variance analysis, advising Senior Finance Manager of any anomalies
4pm Review the bonus figures sent by Debt Team Lead and authorise
5pm Answer emails and messages, closing down for a clear morning the next day

Pay: 38,000.00-40,000.00 per year
