Overview


We are seeking an ambitious and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our fast-paced and dynamic accounting team. You will play a key part in managing a team of bookkeepers, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and delivering high-quality service to our clients on time, every time.

Key Responsibilities



Leadership & Team Management



Organise and oversee a team of bookkeepers, ensuring their work is accurate, efficient, and aligned with firm standards. Review bookkeeping output, providing constructive feedback and technical support. Delegate tasks effectively to maintain workflow and meet deadlines.

Accounting & Client Work



Prepare and review management accounts, ensuring all entries are complete and accurate. Conduct month-end and year-end processes, reconciliations, and adjustments. Review bookkeepers' work to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting principles. Liaise directly with clients to resolve queries, obtain missing information, and provide regular updates. Deliver training sessions for clients on accounting systems. Maintain strong, professional client relationships built on trust and clear communication.

Performance & Quality Assurance



Ensure all client work is completed and delivered on time and to a high standard. Meet individual and team billing targets by managing workload efficiently. Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to the firm's ongoing development. Stay current with accounting standards, software, and best practices.

Requirements



AAT qualified or part-qualified ACCA / ACA (or equivalent) preferred. 1-3 years' experience in an accounting or bookkeeping environment. Strong working knowledge of accounting software (e.g. Xero, QuickBooks, Sage). Excellent communication and organisational skills. Strong leadership potential and the ability to motivate and support a team. Proactive, deadline-driven, and comfortable working in a fast-paced firm.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 30,000.00-35,000.00 per year
