We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will assist in various accounting functions, including financial reporting, accounts payable, and the management of financial records. Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports. Manage accounts payable processes, ensuring timely payments and accurate record-keeping. Support the month-end closing process by preparing necessary journal entries and reconciliations. Utilise accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, PeopleSoft) to maintain accurate financial records. Collaborate with senior accountants to analyse financial data and provide insights for management. Participate in financial audits by providing necessary documentation and support. Contribute to the development of financial management strategies and processes. Engage in mentoring opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge within the team.

Requirements

A degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field is preferred. Familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or PeopleSoft is highly desirable. Basic understanding of financial accounting principles and practices. Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational skills. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated. Previous experience in financial services or related fields is an advantage but not essential. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with team members and stakeholders.
