Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports. Manage accounts payable, ensuring timely processing of invoices. Support month-end closing activities, including reconciliations and journal entries. Maintain accurate records in accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage. Collaborate with senior accountants to analyse financial data and provide insights. Participate in budgeting and forecasting processes. Provide support for audits by preparing necessary documentation. Mentor junior staff members as needed, fostering a collaborative team environment.

Skills

Strong understanding of financial accounting principles and practices. Proficiency in accounting software, including Xero, QuickBooks, PeopleSoft, or Sage. Excellent organisational skills with keen attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively. Strong analytical skills to interpret financial data accurately. Good communication skills for liaising with team members and stakeholders. Experience or knowledge in financial management is advantageous. A proactive approach to problem-solving and a willingness to learn.
