Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will assist in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the accounting department in various tasks.. This role is perfect for someone looking to develop their skills in accounting and finance while working in a dynamic environment.

Duties

Bookkeeping and VAT returns using accounting software such as Iris, Sage, QuickBooks, or Xero. Support month-end closing activities, including reconciliations and journal entries. Prepare year end accounts for management review. Collaborate with Senior accountants/ Managers to analyse financial data. Mentor junior staff members as needed, fostering a collaborative team environment.

Requirements

Familiarity with accounting software such as Iris, Sage, QuickBooks, or Xero. Experience completing VAT returns. Experience completing year end accounts/ helping with the year end accounts process. Knowledge of financial accounting principles and practices. Strong analytical skills with attention to detail. Excellent organisational abilities and the capacity to manage multiple tasks effectively. Good communication skills, both written and verbal. Good timekeeping skills/ working with deadlines.
