We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to join our practice team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. This role requires proficiency in Xero accounting software to support the financial health of our organisation.
Duties
Maintain and update financial records using Xero accounting software.
Manage accounts payable processes, ensuring timely payments to suppliers and vendors.
Prepare monthly financial statements and reports for management review.
Reconcile bank statements and ensure all transactions are accurately recorded.
Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities as required.
Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.
Collaborate with auditors during financial audits to provide necessary documentation.
Support the finance team in various administrative tasks as needed.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role within an accounting department.
Proficiency in accounting software, Xero is essential.
Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and general accounting principles.
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
