The Junior Administrator will provide effective administrative support to the Enrolment Team, ensuring the smooth and timely processing of student enrolments. The role supports prospective and current learners by maintaining accurate records, responding to enquiries, and assisting with enrolment activities in line with policies and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Enrolment and Admissions Support
Support the enrolment process for new and returning learners, ensuring documentation is complete, accurate, and processed within agreed timescales.
Assist with the preparation and checking of enrolment paperwork, including eligibility evidence and learner records.
Input, update, and maintain learner data accurately across systems.
Support enrolment events, open days, and induction activities as required.
Administrative Duties
Provide general administrative support to the Enrolment Team, including filing, scanning, and data management.
Respond to routine learner, employer, and internal enquiries via email, telephone, and in person, escalating where appropriate.
Monitor shared inboxes and ensure queries are dealt with promptly.
Produce standard reports and spreadsheets to support enrolment monitoring.
Compliance and Data Management
Ensure learner records comply with funding, audit, and data protection requirements.
Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive personal data in line with GDPR and policies.
Support internal and external audits by providing accurate documentation when requested.
Team and Service Support
Work collaboratively with colleagues across other departments to support efficient enrolment processes.
Follow established procedures and contribute to continuous improvement of enrolment systems and processes.
Participate in training and team meetings to develop skills and knowledge.
Person Specification
Essential Criteria
GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths at Grade 4/C or above.
Good organisational skills with attention to detail.
Ability to manage routine administrative tasks accurately and efficiently.
Confident use of IT systems, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Desirable Criteria
Previous administrative experience, ideally within an education or public-sector setting.
Experience of working with student records or management information systems.
Understanding of enrolment, admissions, or student services processes.
Customer service experience in a busy environment.
Additional Information
The post holder will be required to comply with all policies, including safeguarding, health and safety, and data protection.
The role may require occasional evening or weekend work during peak enrolment periods.
