Reporting to the Commercial Director, the purpose of this full-time role is to be responsible for identifying new business opportunities via market research, customer visits, industry events, lead qualification and generation, liaising with regional sales managers and customers, and building relationships with clients. The role will work closely with the Commercial Director and Regional Sales Managers.
Responsibilities
Client outreach / lead generation: Researching and contacting potential clients via phone, email, or in-person visits to gauge interest and schedule meetings, whilst nurturing relationships with existing customers.
Follow up: Managing progress from initial contact to deal closure, maintaining records and tracking conversion rates
Sales process management: Guide clients through the sales process, from initial contact to onboarding and ongoing support.
Relationship building: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to foster trust and repeat business.
Client needs assessment: Understand client needs and offer appropriate solutions.
Market research: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities and emerging opportunities
Collaboration: Work with internal teams (sales, marketing, product) to ensure seamless client experience.
Sales target achievement: Contribute to meeting and exceeding sales targets and growing the business through new product and customer opportunities
Reporting: Preparing relevant sales plans, reports and information as required by the Commercial Director
General
Ensure compliance with GDPR and company policies
Acting as a champion for the department and use motivational skills to 'make it happen'
Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years relevant B2B sales experience, ideally in a HVAC or transferable environment
Educated to A level standard as minimum
Driven to achieve agreed targets
Strong communication skills, essential for interacting with clients and colleagues.
Strong organisational and time management skills , ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
Sales and customer service experience: Experienced in a sales or customer-facing
Ability to analyse data and identify trends and opportunities
Self-motivated and able to take initiative.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Understanding of business principles and sales strategies. - commercially aware
Familiarity with CRM systems for recording, tracking and managing prospects through to successful closure (e.g., salesforce)
Able to demonstrate an integrated range of IT skills, including all Microsoft packages
Full driving license with business use insurance
