We are seeking a passionate and motivated Junior Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. As a Junior Chef, you will assist in food preparation, cooking, and maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene while working under the guidance of senior kitchen staff.

Duties

Assist in food preparation and cooking, ensuring dishes are prepared to the highest quality standards. Supervise kitchen staff during service to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to recipes. Collaborate with team members to manage food production effectively, ensuring timely delivery of meals. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including proper storage of ingredients and equipment. Uphold food safety regulations and hygiene practices throughout all stages of food preparation. Participate in menu planning and development, contributing creative ideas for new dishes. Provide training and support to junior kitchen staff, fostering a positive team environment. Assist with inventory management, including ordering supplies as needed.

Experience

Previous experience in a kitchen environment is essential, preferably in a restaurant setting. Culinary experience with a strong understanding of food preparation techniques and cooking methods. Supervising experience is advantageous, demonstrating leadership skills within a team context. Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in hospitality is required. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team are crucial for success in this role.
