We are seeking a dedicated Junior Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will assist in food preparation, support kitchen operations, and contribute to delivering exceptional dining experiences. The Junior Chef will work closely with senior chefs, gaining valuable experience in food production, safety standards, and team management.

Duties

Assist in the preparation and cooking of a variety of dishes in accordance with established recipes and standards Support food production processes to ensure timely service during busy periods Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations Supervise junior staff and volunteers when required, ensuring efficient workflow and quality standards are met Contribute to menu planning and presentation to enhance customer satisfaction Manage stock levels, monitor ingredient freshness, and assist with inventory control Serve meals to customers when necessary, ensuring excellent customer service and hospitality Collaborate with team members to uphold high standards of hygiene, safety, and efficiency within the kitchen environment

Requirements

Proven experience in a kitchen or restaurant setting, demonstrating strong culinary skills Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling and hygiene Previous supervising or team management experience is desirable Competence in food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen operations Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure during peak hours Strong leadership qualities combined with a collaborative attitude Experience in hospitality or serving roles is advantageous Passion for culinary arts with a commitment to continuous learning and professional development
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 10.00-13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 - 48 per week
