Junior Chef

Duties

Assist in the preparation and cooking of meals, ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, adhering to food safety regulations at all times. Help with prep work including chopping, marinating, and portioning Help with inventory management, including ordering supplies and monitoring stock levels. Participate in menu planning and development, contributing creative ideas for new dishes. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service during busy periods. Uphold excellent standards of hospitality, ensuring customer satisfaction with every dish served.

Requirements

Previous experience in a kitchen environment is preferred but not essential; a willingness to learn is key. Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations is essential for maintaining hygiene standards. Strong culinary skills with an interest in various cooking techniques and cuisines. Ability to work effectively as part of a team Punctual, reliable and calm under pressure Excellent time management skills, with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
