We now have an excellent opportunity for a Compliance Officer to join our head office in Sale. This role is well suited to someone earlier in their compliance career who is eager to learn, thrives in high-pressure environments, and has strong attention to detail. Full training will be provided, with higher risk elements supported by senior compliance staff.
The Ideal Candidate
We are open to applicants who may not have extensive compliance experience but can demonstrate:
Experience working in fast paced or high pressure environments
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
A proactive and inquisitive mindset
Confidence using the phone and engaging with customers or third parties
A willingness to learn, receive training, and gradually take on more responsibility
A background in property, compliance, customer service, or administrative work is beneficial but not essential. What matters most is your attitude, work ethic, and commitment.
Key Responsibilities
You will support the Compliance Team across a variety of tasks, including:
Gather, review, and respond to Subject Access Requests in line with data protection regulations
Investigate complaints thoroughly, including case reviews and meetings, with a strong focus on achieving resolutions
Perform compliance-sensitive administrative tasks and manage critical business communications
Produce and analyse Management Information (MI) reports
Conduct trend analysis and contribute proactively to risk mitigation strategies across the business
Support both internal and external client audits
Keep up to date with relevant legislation within the property industry
Skills & Experience
We are looking for someone who can demonstrate:
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in their work
Confidence communicating over the phone and via email
Ability to follow processes and question inconsistencies
Good organisational and time-management skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office
Willingness to learn, adapt, and take on new skills
Basic understanding of AML, GDPR, or property practices is useful but not required - training will be provided
