Working across video projects, the Junior Creative Editor's strength is editing, with a particular eye for energetic, socially optimised content. They can also create basic motion elements and interweave these into their editing, enhancing video content with creative flourishes.
Vertical video for platforms like TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and Instagram Reels & Stories will be a key part of the Junior Creative Editor's output. They should bring a "social-first" mindset, tailoring edits to suit each platform's tone and format to maximise engagement. They will also plan for multi-aspect ratio workflows where appropriate.
They are technically proficient in editing and motion-related software, have a good eye for pacing and tone, and a good editorial sense. They will also have strong written English skills as subtitling will be required for the majority of their edits.
Comfortable working independently with oversight and direction from senior members of the team, they are equally adept at collaborating with a team and seek out opportunities for learning and development.
They are a creative thinker able to visualise concepts and are confident expressing ideas to the internal team.
